USCG Designated Employer Representative (DER) Training Our USCG Designated Employer Representative (DER) Training course is designed for maritime employers responsible for administering drug and alcohol testing programs under U.S. Coast Guard regulations (46 CFR Parts 4 and 16). This course provides practical instruction on managing testing programs for safety-sensitive maritime personnel, including crewmembers, vessel operators, and other covered employees.
